Queensland

Located in the northeast corner of Australia is Queensland, the "Sunshine State" that boasts some 300 days of sunshine each year while combining a diverse selection of landscapes and environments into a magical blend. Picture perfect beaches abound at the Sunshine Coast, rainforests thrive at Daintree and there's never a shortage of divers or snorkelers looking to explore the crystal clear waters of the mystical Great Barrier Reef. Away from the striking landscapes are towns and cities which exemplify Queensland's unique culture, friendly local population and fine dining. The city Brisbane is its lively and cosmopolitan brown-skinned capital while further north is Cairns, a hub for travelers with the ambience of a global village. A string of inviting towns and islands occupy the space between the two. See our detailed Queensland map.
