One of Bendigo's most recent attractions is Wine Bank on View, located right in the heart of the town's Arts Precinct. Wine Bank on View is so called because it's located within a heritage-listed building that was once the site of the Union Bank. The former bank's vault is now used for the storage of a collection of vintage wine and beer. The range of wine featured here include a selection of local and international offerings from around the world by both major producers and smaller wineries. Visitors can be enjoy their glass of wine with light servings of appetizing tapas, antipasto, bruschetta, soup or cheese platters. Open fires inside provide warmth to guests during the colder months of winter while the warmer summer days can be appreciated outside alfresco style. Tasting sessions are scheduled each Saturday while wine aficionados may even wish to enroll in the Wine Bank's four-week wine appreciation course.
