Tram Museum in Bendigo

Tram Museum

The Bendigo Tram Museum lies at the end of the town's tram line in Tramways Avenue.

Visitors to the museum can see a range of interesting and historical trams that have been restored to their original design and fittings.

Passing through the Tram Museum is the Bendigo Talking Tram whose 4.2 km route includes the Central Deborah Gold Mine and Chinese Joss House.

A trip on the talking tram includes a scenic tour of Bendigo's heritage streetscape accompanied by informative audio commentary on the town's history and various attractions as well as a guided tour of the Tram Museum.

Passengers can board the talking tram at any of the scheduled tram stops with the most convenient being the Alexandra Fountain at Charing Cross in the heart of Bendigo.

Talking Tram tickets are valid for over two consecutive days so visitors can move around freely on the tram around Bendigo as often as they like during that time.
