The Rocks was once Sydney's first European settlement which was redeveloped in the 1970s to what has now become an attractive precinct for tourists. Colonial buildings, pubs, restaurants and shops line cobbled lanes while the Rocks Market is held on weekends featuring crafts and souvenirs made from ceramic, stone, leather and glass. The Rocks is just a short walk away from Sydney's popular Circular Quay.
