Queen Victoria Building in Sydney

Queen Victoria Building

The magnificent Queen Victoria Building in Sydney, also known as QVB, was built in 1898 and still retains much of its Romanesque architecture and grandeur.

Occupying an entire block in the city centre, it is Sydney's most renowned shopping centre with about 200 shops on five levels consisting primarily of fashion outlets.

The QVB's lower level connects to Sydney's Town Hall train station while also housing food bars and service outlets such as newsagents, shoe-repair shops and dry-cleaners.
