Port Fairy
The coastal town of Port Fairy is one of Victoria's earliest settled areas. Laden with old sandstone

Available Port Fairy tours include the Codrington Wind Farm Tour, scenic cruises detailing tales of shipwrecks and the port's history, fishing trips and minivan tours to regional attractions such as the Grampians. Visitors can discover Port Fairy's rich history by going on the popular Shipwreck Walk which consists of three short walks that highlight various wreck sites along the coastline as well as the signposted History Walk around town. Other places of interest include the Port Fairy History Centre which features shipping relics, old photos and costumes and the lookout point on Battery Hill. Some visitors may also be interested in exploring Griffiths island with its bluestone lighthouse and colony of mutton birds. Many festivals are held at Port Fairy with the most renowned being the Port Fairy Folk Festival held each Labour Day long weekend to celebrate folk music, the Spring Music Festival which features classical and jazz music as well as the Moyneyana summer celebration festival.
Getting to Port Fairy
Port Fairy is located about 290km west of Melbourne. To travel by car, get on the Princes Highway or take the scenic route via the Great Ocean Road. Rail and coach services are also scheduled daily from Melbourne.
