Paddington

Paddington is an attractive inner-city suburb located just 3km east of Sydney. Despite a lull after WWII, the suburb experienced a resurgence during the 1960s with the rise in popularity of Victorian architecture and inner-city life. Today, Paddington has become one of the most historically rich, culturally vibrant and recognisable districts of Sydney. Tightly packed Victorian terrace houses and art galleries line its leafy streets while inviting shops, cafes and bars can be found on the busy Oxford Street. The best day to visit is on a Saturday when the popular Paddington Market is open. See our detailed Paddington map.
