North of Darwin's city centre in Fannie Bay is the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory. A plethora of displays and exhibitions are featured here including the Northern Territory Aboriginal art collection which has carvings and bark paintings from the Tiwi Islands and Arnhem Land. There's also a section on Cyclone Tracy where archived photographs, newsreel and radio chronicle the cyclone on Christmas Day in 1974.
