cities, is a popular holiday destination for visitors in search of a town that manages to blend its cosmopolitan flavour with the laid back nature of the outback. Things to See and Do
Mildura's main road, Deakin Ave is lined with palm and gum trees and a long strip of neon lights which stretch between the motels and various eateries dominate the scenery at night. The region's impressive golf courses and renowned orange groves, orchards and vineyards belies its arid nature. Other places of interest include the Mildura Arts Centre and the magnificient Rio Vista, a historic and preserved mansion. Paddle-steamer cruises which depart from Mildura wharf are a popular activity and some riverboats offer dinner, lunch or visits to wineries. Visitors can also enjoy outdoor activities such as mountain-biking, canoeing and golf or go for a trip in a hot-air balloon. The local spa provides various natural skin and massage therapies for visitors who wish to relax after a big day out.
