Lakes Entrance

side of the highway, the serene waves of Cunninghame Arm backed by sand dunes and small fishing boats provide balance and equilibrium to the ongoing developments on the other side of town.

Things to See and Do

Operators in the area provide lunch cruises to the Wyanga Park Winery as well as Lakes Entrance cruises which explore the Reeves Channel, Bancroft Bay and Lake King. Fishing cruises on the lake which include rods, tackle, bait and tea can also be organised.

The footbridge from the centre of town over Cunninghame Arm inlet leads to the ocean and the stunning Ninety Mile Beach. Walking tracks are from here then lead to the entrance of the lakes and back again.

Operators in the area provide surfing lessons as well as surf gear for sale and hire. Other water-based activities are also available including paddleboats, canoes, bodyboards, catamarans and you can also hire your own boat to explore the lakes independently.

Other places of interest include Wildlife at Night, Lakes Go Karts, the Fisherman's Co-op where you can buy freshly caught lake and ocean fish and Jemmy's Point Lookout which provides excellent views of the ocean, lakes and entrance.
