Kingscliff
Kingscliff is a popular seaside holiday resort and family holiday destination located just south of the
Gold Coast. Nestled between the Tweed River, it features some beautiful beaches which stretch from Cabarita to Fingal. Sometimes refered to as the Tweed Coast, Kingscliff has maintained its simplicity and pleasant ambience despite being close to the glitz and high-rise developments of the neighbouring Gold Coast. The beaches in Kingscliff are the obvious highlight with the usual water sports activities ranging from surfing, sunbathing and fishing. Visitors particularly enjoy the beaches here because of their beauty and also the fact that they are less crowded than those up north. Other places of interest in Kingscliff include Melaleuca Station which is a recreation of a 1920s Victorian Railway station, Tropical Fruit World where visitors can go for an agricultural tour, the Cudgen Nature Reserve and Pioneer Plantation, an award-winning agriculture-tourism complex based around a banana plantation.
Getting to Kingscliff
Kingscliff is located in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, approximately 115km south of Brisbane or 830km north of Sydney. Regular flights are scheduled to Coolangatta International airport which lies about 15km away. To travel by train from Sydney, get off at Murwillumbah station which is just 15 minutes from Kingscliff.
