Hay and Murray St Malls in Perth

Bordering Perth's shopping district are the pedestrian Hay and Murray St Malls.

Hay St itself is a major road crossing through Perth and was named after Robert William Hay, the Permanent Under Secretary for Colonies.

Established later than Hay St Mall is Murray St Mall whose street was named after Sir George Murray, Secretary of State for War and the Colonies from 1828 to 1830.

Also located on the Murray St Mall is a popular food court and seafood restaurant that overlooks the street.
