The Daylesford Spa Country Tourist Railway is an accredited museum that aims to re-create the early days of Victorian railmotor travel via restored heritage trains. On any given Sunday, visitors can jump on a heritage train and enjoy a scenic ride through the picturesque countryside and forests of the Central Highlands. The heritage train ride journey begins from the heritage listed railway station in Daylesford built in 1882, and travels along the open farmland and forest route to the highest operating railway station in Victoria. Alternatively, you can choose to ride on the relaxing and comfortable Silver Streak train. The historic diesel railmotor moves from the Daylesford Railway Station to Bullarto and back and along the way, you'll be served with champagne, juice and a range of appetizing finger food. Every Sunday from 8am to 4pm, the Daylesford Sunday Market is held near the Daylesford Railway Station where you'll find a large collection of stalls selling a variety of items including local produce, clothing and collectables.
