Located behind Princes Wharf and Salamanca Place is Hobart's historic and old port area known as Battery Point. Pubs, churches, houses and streets here from colonial times have been wonderfully preserved and make for a pleasant stroll. Buildings of note include Arthur Circus which consists of several cottages built around a village green and St George's Anglican Church on Cromwell St. On Hampden Road is a Georgian sandstone mansion built in 1836 that now serves as the Narryna Heritage Museum where a collection of domestic colonial artefacts are stored.
