The quiet township of Amity Point lies on the northwestern end of North Stradbroke Island and provides a more relaxed alternative to Point Lookout where most visitors to Straddie will usually head to. Visitors to the island usually arrive at the ferry port in Dunwich and head north along East Coast Road before reaching a fork at the road about 10km in. The path to the left down Beehive Road leads to Amity Point with signs pointing the way. The township is built around the jetty, a popular spot for fishing where trawlers can be seen nightly offloading their latest catch for the local shops and eateries. A shady camping ground is available to the left of Claytons Road by the tranquil waters of Moreton Bay where families can indulge in activities such as fishing, boating or enjoying the surrounding beaches. Other cosy accommodation options also exist in Amity Point including cottages and bungalows. To the east of Amity Point is Flinders Beach, a popular beach accessible only by 4WD that stretches for almost 5km to Point Lookout.
